A kitchen that works for the way you actually eat
The everyday ingredients, familiar shortcuts and small preparations that make an ordinary meal feel possible.

A beautifully stocked kitchen is only useful if it contains things you want to cook. The jar you bought for a single recipe can stay untouched while the ingredients for your favourite quick dinner run out again.
Start with the meals that already fit your life. Think of three you make happily, then look at what you need to keep them within reach. This is a personal list, not an ideal pantry.
Make the familiar easier
Put the things you use together somewhere convenient. Keep a short list of the ingredients you often forget. Leave a little room in the freezer for a meal you know you will welcome on a busy evening.
Convenience is part of cooking. A prepared ingredient or a shop-bought sauce can be the difference between a dinner that happens and an ambitious plan that does not.
Leave space for appetite
A kitchen does not need to be organised around a different version of you. Keep food you enjoy, allow for the way your week changes and try something new when it sounds appealing.
The useful question is simple: what would make tomorrow’s meal a little easier to begin?
