The pleasure of a walk with nowhere to be
A familiar path becomes a different outing when arriving is no longer the point.

Most journeys begin with a destination. The station, the shops, the place where somebody is waiting. A walk with no particular arrival in mind offers a different sort of attention.
You can take the quieter street, stop at the view or turn back when you feel like it. The route does not have to be efficient to be the one you choose.
Stay curious about the familiar
Notice what has changed since last time: a tree turning colour, a window display, the sound from an open door. You do not need a spectacular landscape to find something worth looking at.
Choose a route and pace that suit your comfort, access needs and circumstances. There is no distance attached to this invitation.
Bring company, or leave some space
With a friend, a walk can make room for a conversation without a table between you. Alone, it can simply be a little time outside.
When you get home, you do not have to record anything. The walk can have been the whole point.
